Tipico has Taken the Lead over BetMGM
The Tipico isn’t an online casino in Michigan and has less than a 1% market share. Tipico recently launched in New Jersey. In addition, Tipico received the highest overall score of 16.3 out of 20 from EKG for its app rankings.
On Zero Latency: An Eilers & Krejcik Gaming Podcast, EKG product tester Danny McCarthy discussed how Tipico earned the top slot.
“(Tipico) performed admirably in two of our categories, core and gaming interface.” “They were number one in gaming interface by more than half a point, which was pretty significant at the top level,” McCarthy said. “Aside from that, they didn’t do anything particularly poorly.” We see that most other apps have a more obvious flaw. They were just really strong all around.”

BetMGM Material Comes at a Price in terms of Speed
It should come as no surprise that BetMGM’s strengths were in features and UX or user experience.
The features section illustrates the various options that consumers are going to work with. As previously stated, BetMGM Michigan has long been the state’s leader in game offers.
“They have an excellent range of features.” They came in first in features, and there isn’t much competition in that category,” McCarthy remarked.
BetMGM and DraftKings Casino tied for first place in EKG’s user experience rankings. Speed concerns were the only thing keeping BetMGM from taking the top rank on its own. That is also what EKG highlighted as the reason BetMGM did not take Tipico’s overall No. 1 spot.
“There’s a lot of information on there.” “It’s such a heavy app that it has issues loading things; it has issues with button response on the (navigation) bar,” Jimmy Neilly, EKG’s Director of Product Analysis, said on the show. “Had that issue not existed there, the margins were so close between BetMGM and Tipico; if that UX score were just a couple of tenths of a point higher, they likely would have overtaken Tipico as the No. 1 app.”
However, as McCarthy points out, the decision to prioritize content above speed will likely benefit BetMGM.
“I’m not sure if this is truly the wrong choice because they are clearly the frontrunner in terms of features.” The tester’s remark shows that our testers are ecstatic about how much there is to do on the BetMGM Casino side. “It’s the number one app,” he said.
BetMGM can still be satisfied that it ranks first among the most prominent online casino apps in the ranking system, covering all Michigan online casino apps.
