MGM Resorts International achieved a significant triumph last week when it was named the top gaming firm in the Forbes Global 2000 list for 2023.
Forbes 2000 rates the world’s largest and most powerful public firms.
MGM Resorts, which owns and runs the MGM Grand Detroit as well as the BetMGM Casino Michigan and sportsbook, ranked 596th out of 2,000 businesses.

Forbes Names MGM Resorts as the Gambling Industry’s Leader
The Forbes Global 2000 list is compiled after thoroughly examining numerous aspects. Revenue, profits, assets, and market value are all included.
MGM Resorts International was the only gaming business to make the top 1,000, finishing more than 700 places ahead of its nearest opponent, Caesars Entertainment (1,280th).

MGM Grand Detroit is an MGM Resorts Pioneer
MGM Resorts’ first Las Vegas-style resort to open in the middle of a metropolitan region was the MGM Grand Detroit, which launched on July 29, 1999. It was also Detroit’s first resort-style entertainment complex developed from the ground up.
MGM Grand Detroit is the state’s second-largest casino, with 147,000 square feet of gaming space. It is one of the biggest in Detroit and has three casinos. The MGM Grand Detroit offers a diverse range of games, including around 2,950 slots and table games.
The MGM Grand Detroit also has a poker room and one of the state’s few commercial retail sportsbooks, the BetMGM Sportsbook Lounge.
